1999 Ford Taurus Remove Water Pump

Remove the Water Pump

• Turn off the car and allow the engine to cool down completely.

• Locate and disconnect the negative battery cable.

• Place the drain pan under the car, positioned so it will catch the drained coolant. Drain the car's cooling system.

• Remove the inlet tube connected to the water pump.

• Remove any drive belts that may interfere with the removal of the water pump.

• Remove the heater hose.

• Loosen the bolts securing the water pump to the vehicle. Remove the bolts and screws. Take out the water pump.
