1999 Ford Taurus Remove Water Pump
From WikituneUp - The Free Service Manual
Water pump replacement is suggested for all Ford Taurus cars when they reach 100,000 miles, however, an earlier repair or replacement may be necessary if you see certain problems with your vehicle's performance. If your car begins to leak coolant, this may be a sign that the water pump is damaged. Unusually high engine temperature, as well as an unpleasant odor coming from the motor, may also be caused by water pump issues. Replacement pumps can be purchased through many auto repair shops or online retailers. You can choose to remove the pump yourself, or you can bring it to a mechanic to have it fixed.
